Why we built saral.money
Indian retail investors have the ideas. What they've lacked is the tooling that hedge funds take for granted: backtesting, factor modelling, automated execution. That's what we're building.
Our Mission
Algorithmic trading has traditionally been the domain of hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and institutional investors with teams of engineers and quantitative analysts. Retail traders in India have been left out. Not because they lack ideas, but because they lack tools.
Saral changes that. We're building a platform that lets anyone, from first-time investors to experienced traders, build, backtest, and deploy quantitative trading strategies on Indian markets without writing a single line of code.
Our visual strategy builder replaces code with drag-and-drop nodes. Our backtesting engine handles the things that matter: corporate actions (splits, dividends, bonus issues), survivorship bias, and realistic transaction costs. The historical performance you see is the historical performance you would have actually gotten. Our deployment pipeline takes you from idea to paper trading to live execution in minutes.
What We Believe
- Systematic beats emotional. Rules-based trading removes the psychology that causes most traders to underperform.
- Backtesting is non-negotiable. Every strategy should be validated against historical data before risking real capital.
- Tools should be accessible. You shouldn't need a computer science degree to trade algorithmically.
- Transparency builds trust. We show real backtest results, not cherry-picked performance.
